By enrolling in this course, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • We collect limited personal data, including your email address, language preferences, and course activity, in order to monitor participation, issue certificates, and improve the quality of the course.

  • Providing additional information such as your name, profile image, or other personal details is entirely voluntary. You may update or remove this information at any time.

  • Your personal data will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.

  • Data may be used in an anonymised and aggregated form for project evaluation, reporting, and quality assurance, and will be retained for a maximum period of five (5) years.

  • You have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your personal data at any time, including through the course platform or by contacting the course provider.

Privacy Policy

As part of your participation in the Integrage online course, we collect and process a limited amount of personal data to support your learning experience and to improve the quality of the course. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is used and outlines your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This platform has been developed within the framework of an EU-funded project. The views and opinions expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the Interreg Danube Region Programme. Neither the European Union nor the Programme authorities can be held responsible for them.

The project consortium is jointly responsible for data protection and data use.

What data do we collect?

We collect only the data necessary to deliver and improve the course:

  • Email address – to manage your account, track progress, and issue certificates

  • Language preferences – to provide content in your selected language

  • Course activity data – such as progress, completed modules, and interactions within the course

Optional data:
You may voluntarily provide additional information (e.g. name, profile image, profile details). This information can be updated or deleted at any time in your user profile.

Please note: If you wish to receive a certificate, you will need to provide your full name for certification purposes.

Use of the Moodle App:
When accessing the course via the Moodle mobile application, the same data may be collected as when using a web browser, including basic technical information such as device type and IP address.

Why do we collect this data?

Your data is used to:

  • Monitor learning progress and issue certificates

  • Improve course content and user experience

  • Analyse usage patterns (in anonymised form)

  • Fulfil reporting obligations towards project funders

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g. health, ethnicity, or background information).

Data retention

Your personal data will be stored for a maximum period of five (5) years after course completion. This is necessary for project reporting and to support returning learners.

After this period, all personal data will be anonymised or securely deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data

Please note: Deleting your data will result in the removal of your certificates, badges, and course history.

Legal basis

The processing of your personal data is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

By enrolling in the course and accepting this Privacy Policy, you provide your consent to the processing of your data as described.

Third-party services

To deliver course content, we may use trusted external services such as:

  • YouTube (for video content)

These services may collect basic technical data (e.g. IP address). While we do not control this data, we select providers that adhere to recognised data protection standards.

By participating in the course, you acknowledge and accept the use of such services as part of the learning experience.
